Could we see openings delayed at Walt Disney World

The situation at Walt Disney World is a bit more complex than that at Disneyland, as Cast Members have already been called back to work, and theme park reservations are currently being made using the brand new Disney Parks Pass system. And while COVID-19 cases are accelerating in the state, reaching over 100,000 total cases just a few days ago, and adding a one-day record 5500 new cases a day on Wednesday, many are wondering if Disney should push back Walt Disney World's opening as well. 

Also worth remembering is that Walt Disney World needs to keep itself as safe as possible as the NBA will be heading to the resort in just a few weeks and creating its own "bubble" to keep players, coaches, media and their families all safe while the games are all played. 

Right now it looks like things are proceeding as normal at Walt Disney World in spite of the Disneyland closure, but of course anything can change at any moment, and as COVID-19 cases increase in Florida, it seems entirely possible that plans could be coming together for a delay at the Florida resort as well.
