Universal Studios Hollywood Allowing 16+ Vaccinated Out-of-State Visitors To Purchase Tickets at the Gate

Breaking with other California theme parks like Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm, Universal Studios Hollywood has updated its website to state that the park will be welcoming out-of-state guests who are fully vaccinated, effective immediately. However, there are some caveats to this non-resident entry, as  proof of vaccination as well as photo ID will be required before tickets can be purchased, and guests must buy tickets at the front gate ONLY in order to visit the theme park.

Unfortunately, this also means that out-of-state visitors must be 16 or older as children are not eligible for vaccination. In addition, party size for all visitors is limited to a maximum of three households. In addition, walk-up reservations are subject to availability, as no out-of-state visitors are able to purchase tickets in advance to make reservations. You can learn more about this new policy, which is now in effect, at Universal Studios Hollywood’s official website here

Like other California theme parks, Universal Studios Hollywood has reopened with limited capacity, required masks, and queues that include physical distancing markers. In addition, some shows/character experiences are not available with current health and safety guidelines in place.

Would you try and visit Universal Studios Hollywood as an out-of-state visitor knowing you couldn’t bring children and have no guarantee of admission?
