The holiday season is fast approaching and with it comes the debut of the new Disney Jollywood Nights event at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This after-hours, separately ticketed event will feature plenty of holiday-themed entertainment including the Nightmare Before Christmas-themed Hyperion Theater Spirited Sing-Along, special holiday character meet and greets, fireworks, and more. 

Among all these exciting offerings will be a new Muppets-themed show called Theater of Stars with Kermit and Miss Piggy, which will be exclusive to the event, only running for 10 nights! Here's everything we know about this exciting new show:

It will be modeled after another famous holiday show

During a recent TV segment on Good Morning America about Walt Disney World's holiday offerings, it was revealed that Theater of Stars with Kermit and Miss Piggy is modeled after the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, which takes place every holiday season on Broadway in in New York City. 

Kermit and Miss Piggy will be physically present, on-stage for this show and act as hosts, introducing variety-type acts featuring well-known Disney characters including Mickey, Minnie, Tiana, and Belle. These characters will sing and dance to live music, just like in a Broadway show, and Belle will even sing her holiday favorite “As Long as There’s Christmas.” 

This will likely be the most popular show at the event, so guests should plan to line up early

Though no times guide has been released for Disney Jollywood Nights just yet, judging by other holiday events, we'd guess that there will be two showings of Theater of Stars with Kermit and Miss Piggy per night. And though the Theater of the Stars is a pretty large venue with space for 1500 guests, Disney Jollywood Nights will likely have more than 3000 people in attendance, so even if every seat is filled in the theater, some folks in attendance will miss out on this show, assuming we're right about there being two showings.

With this likely to be a very popular entertainment offering, it will be essential for those who want to see this show to line up as early as possible to have the best chance of seeing this all-new Muppets holiday show, and be prepared to wait. 

Tickets for the event are already selling out

Guests who want to attend Disney Jollywood Nights should secure their tickets soon, as several nights of this event have already sold out. The remaining dates are between November 20 - December 20. Tickets cost between $159 and $179, plus tax (prices vary by event date), and Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket.

Though guests with tickets to the event can enter the theme park as early as 7:00 PM, the event itself takes place from 8:30 PM to 12:30 AM. As of right now, Disney Jollywood Nights is the only place where guests can see Theater of the Stars with Kermit and Miss Piggy, so if you want to see this show, you'll need a ticket!
