It has just been announced that from May 20, guests visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios can get a sneak peek at scenes from the upcoming sci-fi adventure 'Lightyear' at the Walt Disney Presents attraction.

There has been lots of talk about Disney and Pixar's new film 'Lightyear' which is released in theaters on June 17, 2022. Check out the video below which gives you the feel for the new film.

'Lightyear' follows Buzz and his robot companion Sox as well as his recruits on an intergalactic adventure. This new CG-animated 'Lightyear' movie stars Chris Evans as the titular space ranger, who, along with his fellow astronauts, becomes marooned on an alien world, and must find a way to return home. It certainly looks to be full of action and suspense and surely can't fail to impress any Toy Story fan out there.

There has been a rumor that a new 'Lightyear' attraction could replace Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom. Although nothing has been officially confirmed just yet, we would expect the new ride to be a similar style to the updated Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle which replaced Astro Blasters at Hong Kong Disneyland in 2019. We assume the latest technology will be used in a planned 'Lightyear' ride including more modern targets that are potentially projection based and screens showing scores in the vehicles.

We are guessing Disney will wait to see how successful the new 'Lightyear' film is before confirming any plans it may have to bring the new Buzz to Walt Disney World. We will keep you up to date of further details as and when they are announced on our news and Facebook page.
