7. Cedar Fair rejects SeaWorld's takeover bid

Several weeks ago SeaWorld made an offer to purchase the Cedar Fair family of parks, which include Cedar Park, Knotts Berry Farm, King's Dominion and more. However, Cedar Fair has officially rejected the bid, which means SeaWorld will need to make the parks group a better offer if they are serious about aquiring them. 

8. IceBreaker now officially open

After several weeks of annual passholder previews, IceBreaker at SeaWorld Orlando is now officially open at SeaWorld Orlando. This new roller coaster blasts guests through four different launches, both backwards and forwards, culminating in a reverse launch into the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida — a 93-foot tall spike with 100-degree angle.
