August 6 - Just a few days ago we brought you an update on the headlining dual-racing roller coaster at Epic Universe thanks to the excellent aerial photos posted to Twitter by Bioreconstruct, and today there is an update on the rumored Dark Universe land including the entrance to a featured attraction and a second launch of a spinner coaster as well as a new set of foundations.

We also get to see a new aerial photo of what the entrance portal to the Dark Universe currently looks like. It is believed to be a large tree trunk with roots sprawling over the rocks and certainly appears to be a huge landmark.

We will continue to track the construction progress of Epic Universe over the coming weeks and months as it comes to life prior to its slated 2025 official opening.

August 2 - Work on the headlining dual-racing roller coaster at Epic Universe is progressing fast and thanks to a photo update from Bioreconstruct we can see that the station is getting the first layer of roofing and the frame is being added for the celestial theming.

We can also see work continuing at ground level on the pavements and concrete walls.

The dual-racing coaster is set to be a highlight of Epic Universe, for further details check out our Featured article, STARFALL RACERS: What We Know (and Think We Know) About Epic Universe's Stellar Dueling Roller Coaster.

July 26 - A new construction update video has been posted to YouTube by Theme Park Stop where we can see all the latest developments being done on Universal's third gate, Epic Universe which is slated to open in 2025. The video uses images from Bioreconstruct who has posted another massive photo update for you to check out and we have embedded a number of these below.

Super Nintendo World

In Super Nintendo World, the first part of the path leading from Peaches Castle on the upper level has been completed. The exterior of Bowser's Fortress is also continuing to take shape and Mount Beanpole sees developments.

Decorative railroad ties have been added to the Donkey Kong Mine Cart Roller Coaster, the cartoon planks make it look just like it does in the game and will give the illusion that the roller coaster is jumping between pieces of broken track.

Dark Universe

Tree roots and rock work can begin to be seen under the scrims for the entrance portal to the Dark Universe. A lot of work has been done on the sloped roof of the barn structure which will surround the swing launch on what is thought to be The Curse of the Werewolf roller coaster. Roof work is also being done on the station building and exit area.

Work is progressing on the Frankenstein inspired windmill themed dining location. The decorative windmill is being installed as well as brick work. The new trademark name, "Burning Blade Tavern" has been filed which is likely for this eatery and is expected to have fire coming out of its sails. "The Manor Storehouse" name has also been filed for a retail store which will likely be for the exit gift shop for the lands main attraction.

Wizarding World

New decorative elements are being added at the end of the main street with domed connections for themed facade fronts having been added to the structure. A domed roof has also been added.

How To Train Your Dragon

The entrance portal is receiving more work and an awning structure has been added to the back. Pathways are being prepared for pouring and the permanently docked decorative boats have been revealed as well as new rock work. In the video we get to see a small section of boat which is likely going to be design for the ride vehicle for the land's interactive boat ride.

Work is being done on the roof of the quick service restaurant and supports have arrived for the two flat rides with one already having been installed on its foundation. Rockwork mesh chips have been added to the roller coasters second launch and roof work is being done on the station building. Half of the roof for the land's stage show is also now complete.

Central Hub

In the central hub, the second dome's roof supports are being added now that the main dome's roof supports have all been installed. This second dome is thought to house the queue line for the carousel attraction which will be located in the larger dome. Work continues on the fountains on the central lagoon and a foundation has been poured for the park's lower water feature.

The Seating area is being installed surrounding the large fountain display which will also be the location for a rumored night-time fireworks display.

More trees have been planted and landscaping continues for the dual track launched roller coaster. New decorative structures are being added to the front section of the ride facing the park's hub which are believed to be themed to a space theme including a rocket.

Work also continues on the entrance area and prep for the restrooms. New trademark names have been recently filed including "Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets" for a candy store and "Various Emporia" for another retail location will be expected to be located in this entry area.

Work is progressing very quickly on the structure for Project 1913 hotel and its sister hotel Project 1912 is receiving its pool. Both these hotels are expected to be covered in decorative panels to reflect the light. Vertical construction has begun on the Kirkman road traffic circle.

We will continue to bring you updates on progress with Epic Universe as they develop.

I’m not sure if it’s too late to reconsider but for Universal’s Epic Universe in the DreamWorks area could you go back to the other option and make it look more like Fantasyland at Disney. This way it would be better because it should have more than one land from previous DreamWorks animated franchises. For Instance you should leave room too great a Madagascar land and make it just like the one in Singapore which sadly is being changed to Minions land and that’s stupid because Despicable Me is pretty common cat every Universal Studios around the world. However, Madagascar land isn’t common that land was pretty unique and while your at also make room for a Kung Fu Panda land even though there’s one at the Universal Studios in Beijing it would still be a good idea because that land will be pretty much unique also if it gets changed in the future. My point being is if you’re going to have a DreamWorks themed land don’t just let it be How to Train Your Dragon there add these two lands too it as well. If you can’t reconsider then just add these two lands separately too the park.
