After nearly two years, parking trams are finally returning to Walt Disney World. Though much of the resort has gone back to normal in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic, one measure that stuck around for longer than anyone predicted was the tram shutdown. However, Disney has confirmed that parking trams will be returning to Magic Kingdom Park later this month, and will resume service to other Walt Disney World theme parks later in 2022.
Earlier this year, Disneyland said trams were coming back to the west coast resort sometime in early 2022 as well, but no specific dates have been set just yet.
Though Disney Parks brought back bus and monorail transportation fairly swiftly, many were baffled when parking tram transportation continued to be unavailable, even as other parts of the Walt Disney World resort opened up.
This is definitely great news for those who dread the long walk back to their car after a long Disney day, and hopefully we won't have to wait too long in 2022 to see trams operating at every Disney park in the US once again.
