The Dungeons of Doom are more atmospheric now than when the attraction was open:
The Knightmare roller coaster is looking a little rusty:

Aww what a shame... Very interesting photos though... How bizarre that the rides are still set up... Like they didn't even know it was shutting down, its like it just never opened again one day.... Looks post apocalyptic.... Ideal for zombie / paintball / ghost walks though :-)

So sad to see. It's difficult to handle the fact that I'll never again get a static shock in my thighs from the caterpillar. Me, my sister and my brother had many happy days there and it was my first experience of a proper roller coaster on the tower of terror but it was in need of new rides in the late 90's. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.
By reading all these comments I'm not surprised it shut as nearly everyone says I used to go there as a kid so 89s 90s maybe! It was old fashioned n boring for over 15 but it was cheap n something to do with kids on school holidays without having to remorage your for like Alton towers (who will be charging for the maps soon) so maybe what ever someone turns it into it should be cheap enough to take the whole family without back packets full of snacks drinks and full days surplys coz there cheap enough to to buy there :)
