Walt Disney World, Disney

It has been announced that Disney is planning to use almost 80 acreas of Walt Disney World land for a new affordable housing development located in southwest Orange County in central Florida.

The development will consist of over 1,300 units which will be available for certain qualifying applicants including cast members. A range of affordable homes will be on offer, all located in the development close to Flamingo Crossings Town Center with access to schools and amenities.

Disney has released a video giving further details about this planned affordable housing development which is embedded below.

This is surely positive news for the residents of Florida and indeed cast members who will have the chance to apply (if eligible) for one of the newly built affordable housing units. The developmnent is set to incorporate Disney's well known innovation and charm. We will keep you up to date on further announcements, including time scales for this project, on our news and Facebook page.
