Universal Hotel Mask

COVID-19 is once again on the rise in central Florida with the Orange County Health Department reporting that the positivity rate in the county doubled to 8% recently exceeding the 5% positivity rate that was in place when mask guidelines were initially rolled back.

Because of this increase Orange County mayor Jerry Demmings, is asking individuals to wear masks once again indoors and in crowded spaces regardless of vaccination status, which could affect operations at both Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando, which both fully operate inside Orange County.

Because of an executive order signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, specific mandates can not be enforced by local governments anywhere in the state, but with the mayor now strongly encouraging businesses to re-implement this health and safety measure during this surge, it is definitely possible that indoor mask mandates could be returning to Orlando theme parks.

Do you think that Universal Orlando Resort or SeaWorld Orlando will comply with this new guidance and once again require masks for all guests in indoor areas of the theme parks?
