7. Jurassic World: VelociCoaster technical rehearsals begin

Anticipation is high for the grand opening of Jurassic World: VelociCoaster on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Universal Orlando Resort's Islands of Adventure, and this week official technical rehearsals for the grand opening began, with Universal Team Members able to test out the ride. Annual Passholders who registered in advance will also be able to ride the attraction in the coming days. So far, there has been no news about walkup availability for this new ride, but we'll let you know if that changes! 

8. Social distancing markers and audio disclaimers disappear from Universal Orlando Resort 

As perhaps a reflection of things starting to "get back to normal" at Universal Orlando Resort, many of the outdoor physical distancing markers have been removed in heavily trafficked areas, perhaps reflecting new guidance from the Florida Department of Health that states that three (rather than six) feet of social distance is appropriate in outdoor settings. In addition, audio warnings about "unprecedented times" have also been removed from the park's entrance, with only music now playing.
