Holiday crowds are finally starting to die down at Walt Disney World, with the slow, early winter period finally bringing lighter crowds to the resort. However, according to insiders, this lighter period of crowds may last longer than just January and February in 2024. 

With no yearlong celebration to draw crowds and Tiana's Bayou Adventure not set to open until closer to the end of the year, Disney may be facing a slow 2024. However, the good news is that when crowds die down, deals perk up, and there are some deep discounts currently on offer for guests planning a Walt Disney World vacation in 2024. 

Interestingly, though it is only January, there are discounts available right now that run through October, so no matter when you are planning on visiting the resort, there's a good chance you can save money with one of these deals! 

If you are thinking about going to a Disney park in the near future (and especially if you are staying on property, a Disney+ subscriber, an annual passholder or Florida Resident), here are some easy ways you can save some money that you should definitely know about!

1. Room-only discounts for Florida residents and annual passholders now available through July

This spring Walt Disney World will be offering deep discounts for Florida residents and annual passholders, who can save 30% and 35% respectively on rooms. This deal is valid for stays most nights from now through July 7, 2024. More information is available on the official Disney discounts website here. 

2. Kids Play and Dine 50% off deal now available for 2024

Guests with young children can now take advantage of a new deal that can save them 50% on theme park tickets and dining plans for kids 3-9 with the purchase of a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day Walt Disney World package that includes a room at a select Disney Resort hotel, theme park tickets, and a dining plan. This deal is good for the following travel dates:

• March 3 - 24, 2024
• April 7 - June 30, 2024

3. Free dining packages for Disney+ subscribers this summer

Disney+ subscribers can now take advantage of a new offer that includes a free dining plan when they purchase a hotel package (4-night minimum) that includes 4-day park hopper tickets. Stays at a Deluxe hotel include the full Disney Dining Plan, and stays at a moderate or value hotel include the Quick Service Dining Plan.

4. Room-only savings for long stays this fall

Planning a weeklong Walt Disney World vacation in fall 2024? A new long stay offer lets guests save up to 35% on rooms at select Disney Resort hotels when they stay 5 consecutive nights or longer. This offer also includes a 30% discount on select shorter stays during the booking window. This offer is valid for stays most nights from July 8 to October 3, 2024.
