It was confirmed back in November 2022 that the ground breaking ceremony had happened and construction had begun on the new $1 billion+ Everest Place development in Orlando.

Although for many, news of another development may not be top priority, what is special about Everest Place is that it will be home to a new Nickelodeon Hotel when the first phase is slated to be completed in 2025.

In a recent update, it has been confirmed by Director of Karisma Hotels for Latin America, Jennifer Castro, that the new Nickelodeon Orlando hotel will be a Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts property, run by Karisma Hotels & Resorts. It will target families and offer amenities and entertainment similar to Nickelodeon's two existing resorts in the Dominican Republic and Mexico. The iconic SpongeBob SquarePants theming is expected to feature heavily.

Not only will the new Everest Place development offer 190 hotel rooms in the Nickelodeon Hotel, there will also be 272 condo hotel units.

The 1515 square foot two bed condos can sleep up to 12 people (max 9 adults) and have 3 bathrooms. The new Nickelodeon Hotel is expected to be a fantastic addition and prospective guests can find out further information by visiting the official website here.

For many, the closure of the original Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando back in 2016 when Nickelodeon officially pulled the plug on their agreements with Holiday Inn and the Nickelodeon debranding began, marked a sad ending to an era which had a significant impact in the hearts and minds of a generation of kids.

So, when news came of a new Nickelodeon Hotel coming to Orlando at Everest Place, it unsurprisingly caused quite a stir to those fans of both the original Nickelodeon Hotel and Nickelodeon Studios which was located at Universal Orlando and entertained guests from 1990 until April 2005.

Located at U.S. Highway 192 & U.S. Toll Road 429 in Kissimmee, Florida and in the tourism district of the Greater Orlando area just three miles north of the SR-429 and Western Way intersection, which serves as the new western entrance to Walt Disney World.

The true extent of this new development can be seen in the recent video posted on the official Everest Place Facebook page and embedded below where you get to see how the different parts of the project are set to look when completed.
