Disney Springs

Disney Springs continues to change and evolve, with new stores, new parking policies, and more as we head into the closing months of 2023. If you're planning on visiting Disney Springs in the near future, here are some of the biggest updates you'll definitely want to know about!

1. Parking garages now open earlier

Perhaps in an effort to get ready for the upcoming holiday shopping season, Disney Springs will be opening some of their parking at 9:00 a.m. instead of 10:00 a.m. This applies to the Orange and Lime garages, plus the Watermelon and Mango surface parking lots.

2. Halloween entertainment includes live music, a roving DJ and more

Disney has announced a number of Halloween-themed limited-time offerings coming to Disney Springs this month, including the following:

  • A mobile DJ will be riding through the Marketplace of Disney Springs in a giant jack-o’-lantern blasting tunes and allowing guests to take photos.

  • The Zombeats Drummers percussion group will march through Town Center beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, performing along the way.

  •  Skeleton Stilt Walkers and Roller-Skating Witches will roam the Town Center after dark

3. Sustainable footwear company Rothy's set to open new location in Disney Springs

Renowned sustainable footwear and accessory brand Rothy's will open a new retail location later this year at Disney Springs. This brand is unique as it transforms recycled plastic water bottles into fashionable, woven-knit shoes and accessories including classic point and flat shoes as well as their latest line of eco-friendly bags. The new store will be located in the Town Center area.

4. New restaurant Summer House on the Lake set to open at the former Bongos site next month

The Disney Springs location of 'Summer House on the Lake, which is taking over the former Bongo's restaurant site is almost done with construction, and is currently in the process of hiring staff ahead of a November opening. When open, this table service restaurant will feature a California-inspired menu with simple ingredients sourced from local grower partnerships and sustainable products.

Menu items include California-inspired dishes, salads, sandwiches pastas, and pizza. In addition, Rosé is poured all day off the signature Rosé Cart, alongside an extensive wine and handcrafted cocktail menu.

5. New one-day historical-themed event coming to the Edison

On October 21 at 11:30 am, The Edison at Disney Springs is hosting The Cocktail Archives: A Historic Perspective of Mixology. This special event will give attendees the chance to visit special historically themed stations sip their way through different eras of mixology from Victorian London through 21st century America, with special bites and drinks inspired by each time period at each station.

Tickets are $75 per person for general admission or $90 for guaranteed seating with access. Either ticket option can be upgraded to Platinum service for +$40. Platinum service includes premium cocktail ingredients at some stations, plus a bonus food and cocktail station featuring A5 Wagyu Tataki. More information is available here.
