It's always exciting to hear new roller coaster announcements and recently it has been confirmed that Six Flags Great Adventure will be getting a new addition to their line up in 2024.

THE FLASH: Vertical Velocity will be a Vekoma super boomerang roller coaster and when it opens at Six Flags Great Adventure in 2024, it will be the first-of-its-kind in North America and only the second in the world. The first being, "Cool Shuttle" which opened at the new theme park Xuzhou Fantawild Wonderland on July 18.

Cool Shuttle is described by manufacturer, Vekoma as being, "Multiple launch sections, vertical spike at 52,5m height, maximum speed of 95 km/h, forward backward ride, vertical drops, inversions, airtime - all action packed in this compact design brings our proven Boomerang concept new levels of excitement and thrills the most seasoned riders!" Cool Shuttle can be seen in action in the video embedded below. 

New, THE FLASH: Vertical Velocity at Six Flags Great Adventure will be located in Movietown, have intricately designed trains inspired by THE FLASH's suit and will thrill guests reaching speeds of up to 59mph.

Riders will, "experience micro gravity as you run upside down, almost 100 feet off the ground. Zoom through a 180-degree twisted drop followed by a Zero-G roll back to the vertical tower, reaching speeds of up to 59 miles per hour. The train pauses, and then, just like THE FLASH, you change directions on a dime and rush backwards along the track."

THE FLASH: Vertical Velocity will join a stellar line up of roller coasters at Six Flags Great Adventure including; Kingda Ka, El Toro, Nitro, Jersey Devil Coaster and Medusa.

Six Flags Great Adventure has also confirmed that the Savannah Sunset Resort And Spa is also set to open in 2024. Little information has been given about this so far and we will bring you further details as soon as they are announced.
