We have recently seen Disney extending the opening hours for all four theme parks throughout April at Walt Disney World due to increasing crowds. We now know that those guests wanting to head to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will also have the chance to gain extra hours beginning June 12, 2022.

Currently Disney's Typhoon Lagoon opens at 10:00AM and closes at 5:00PM on weekdays and is open from 10:00AM until 6:00PM on certain Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings throughout April including 8, 9, 10 and 15, 16, 17. We are assuming this trend will continue into late April and May.

Starting from June 12, 2022 it has now appeared on the official calendar that Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will open at 10:00AM and will close at 7:00PM each day giving guests longer to enjoy the waterpark especially in the warmer months.

This is indeed great news for guests visiting Disney's Typhoon Lagoon this Summer. However, we still don't have any news regarding the reopening of Disney's Blizzard Beach which has been closed for refurbishment since Janaury 2022. We expected to see Disney's Blizzard Beach reopening for Spring break but that was not meant to be. 

According to the current calendar, Disney's Blizzard Beach doesn't appear on it at all which doesn't mean that it won't be added but Disney obviously isn't willing to announce a reopening date just yet. On the Walt Disney World official site is continues to read, "Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park is closed at this time."

There was a rumor at the end of March that Blizzard Beach will remain closed for the whole of 2022. This hasn't been confirmed or denied by Disney but what we do know for sure is that there doesn't seem to be any plans to reopen the waterpark in the near future.
