Walt Disney World 50th, Disney

Many Disney fans have been eagerly awaiting the news that Walt Disney World Annual Passes will be back on sale. Since Walt Disney World reopened in July 2020, after almost three months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the resort has not sold Annual Passes for new guests, only allowing those current passholders to reactivate passes or purchase day tickets to the theme parks.

Disney confirmed last week that they will once again begin selling new annual passes very soon, ahead of October 1, when the resort's 50th anniversary celebrations kickoff.

We currently don't have pricing or final details on the options that will be available but this is exciting news for many who have been waiting patiently to have the opportunity to purchase a Walt Disney World annual pass.

Earlier in August Disney announced the Disneyland Magic Key Annual Pass Replacement Program, are we likely to see options similar to this when Disney outlines details of the Walt Disney World annual pass program?

With current mask guidelines in place, is it worth getting an annual pass? Will there be more block out dates? Although there are still many questions to be answered we thought this would be a good time to ask, Will You Be Purchasing A Walt Disney World Annual Pass?

Do I want another AP?
Yes

Am I willing to pay for one? At higher prices? For less "content" in the parks? Without being able to visit on short notice (on the way home from the doctor, or when I wake up early one morning and my arthritis isn't killing me)?
Absolutely not

I'm not mad, they can do whatever they want, or whatever they need to do, and so can I. Right now I don't think that I'll get the value out of it that I want, so I'll spend my money on something else. Maybe in another year or three I'll be far enough removed from what I used to get, that I'll think that $1000 for a few visits per month is good enough (or whatever the situation is by then).
