Walt Disney World is constantly changing its refurbishment schedule, making it difficult for guests to keep up with the operating times and latest news regarding their favorite attractions, resorts, shops, and restaurants. Here are seven big, upcoming changes that are either confirmed by their respective parks or at the least very strongly rumored for the very near future.

For February's Walt Disney World refurbishment update, we take a look at a short refurbishment happening at the Magic Kingdom later this month, a refresh of a little-known kids' attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom, plus a newly-confirmed refurbishment at Disney Springs that will keep one of this shopping district's most popular restaurants closed for several months later this year.

1. Mad Tea Party

Status: Confirmed

Dates: February 22-26, 2016

Later this month Mad Tea Party at the Magic Kingdom will close for a little under a week for a brief refurbishment. While we don't know for sure what will be worked on during this attraction's downtime, we'd imagine that some of the moving parts in this spinning attraction will be given some regular maintenance, and the requisite couple of screws will be tightened as well. Then, after what will probably be a quick cleaning, this ride will come right back, ready to spin Fantasyland guests just the same as it always has!

2. The Boneyard

Status: Confirmed

Dates: February 22 - March 18, 2016

The most famous playground at Walt Disney World is probably the soon-to-be-bulldozed Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Play Set Adventure over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which has always enjoyed moderate popularity thanks to its convenient location and signage. However, Disney's Animal Kingdom also offers its own play area: The Boneyard. This playground features a "dirt pit" for kids to play in, plenty of places to climb, and even some faux dinosaur bones for little paleontologists to study.

However, like all play areas at theme parks, The Boneyard has seen its fair share of abuse from energetic kids, and finds itself in need of refurbishment from time to time. Fortunately, it looks like this play area will be cleaned and fixed up later this month and kids will be able to play again at the Boneyard in mid-March.

3. Pizza Planet

Status: Confirmed

Dates: Now- Summer/Fall 2016

Though we've been talking about the Pizza Planet refurbishment for some time, late last month this refurbishment finally kicked off and walls appeared around both this restaurant and the adjoining restroom across from the exit of MuppetVision 3D. Though this wouldn't necessarily automatically merit yet another mention of this project, the recently-erected walls seem to support the idea of a Muppets-themed restaurant replacing Pizza Planet with a few "humourous" additions. Check out a few photos of the construction walls below and see if you agree:

Whatever ends up happening with this restaurant refurbishment, construction should wrap up sometime later this year, with this eatery weloming diners again possibly as early as the end of summer 2016.
