Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

With many children going back to school this month, it seems that the summer “high season” for theme parks is drawing to close. So clearly that means it's time for Halloween! Though we’ve seen plenty of reveals about other Halloween events (including Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights), we’ve now gotten some details about this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary event, taking place selected nights from September 1 to October 31.

If you’re thinking about attending this year’s event at Walt Disney World, here are three new elements for this year you have to check out!

1. New Villains Meet and Greets

Captain Hook

This year will see more villains meet and greet areas around Magic Kingdom, including one for Jafar in Adventureland (where Aladdin and Jasmine typically appear) and one for the Queen of Hearts near the Mad Tea Party Attraction. Additionally, Maleficent and The Evil Queen will be joining Aurora and Snow White in the Princess Fairytale Hall for the Halloween event.

These new villains meet and greets are certainly a great addition, and should hopefully take some of the pressure off some of the more popular meet and greets around the park, keeping wait times down for everyone.

2. Club Villain takes over the Diamond Horseshoe

Mickey's not so scary Halloween

If you’re looking for more of a mixer instead of a traditional meet and greet you can head on over to Club Villain, which is a new area inhabiting the Diamond Horseshoe. Inside this area guests can party with villains including Dr. Facilier, Cruela de Vil, Lady Tremane and several others.

With plenty of wicked tunes to dance to, this party looks like it will be a good alternative to the Monstrous Scream-O-Wean Ball in Tomorrowland, and might be a nice change of pace for guests looking for something a little different at this year’s party.

Super excited! Can't wait to download a map so I can start planning our evening!!
