Beyond the rides and shops, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida will be packed with detail when it opens in Spring 2014.
We've taken a look at the major rides that will form part of the land - the Hogwarts Express and the Gringotts Bank roller coaster. We've also examined the stores and restaurants that are likely to be included in its line-up. But what about the other, purely visual elements - the ones that visitors simply won't be able to pass without pausing for a photo?
One of the most popular attractions in the existing Wizarding World at Islands of Adventure is the stationary Hogwarts Express at the entrance, which has been the subject of millions of snapshots. This hasn't gone unnoticed by Universal, and we can expect to see a host of similar photo opps in Diagon Alley. If the concept artwork released so far is anything to go by, these will be 5 of the most tempting.
5. The Phone Booth
In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry is dragged before a court at the Ministry of Magic, accused of using magic in front of "muggles". To access the Ministry, Arthur Weasley and Harry must enter a secret code into a telephone keypad - 62442. The letters underneath those numbers on a standard phone pad spell out "magic".
And what's this in the Diagon Alley concept artwork, lurking in the waterfront area? It's a phone booth! The perfect photo spot - and possibly a place for Universal to hide an "easter egg" or two triggered by a "phone" inside.
4. The Eros Fountain
The real Eros Fountain in London's Piccadilly Circus is often surrounded by tourists looking to grab a snapshot. Expect the same phenomenon when the faux version debuts at Diagon Alley, also in the area facing Universal Studios Florida's lagoon.
3. The Knight Bus
For wizards who are running late or lost, the Knight Bus is a godsend .The triple-decker, purple AEC Regent III RT races around at a lightning-fast pace and featured prominently in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
The version of the bus seen in the movies is on show at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour near London, and can be seen above. Expect the Diagon Alley version to look very similar.
2. Weasley's Wizard Wheezes storefront
The Weasley's Wizard Wheezes joke shop will sell all manner of tricks, and will feature the distinctive animated storefront seen in the movies. Expect fans to line up for ages to get their photo in front of the signature wizard lifting his hat to reveal a bunny underneath.
1. The Gringotts Dragon
Just as Hogwarts Castle provides the iconic image of the original Wizarding World, Gringotts Bank will provide the "money shot" in Diagon Alley. Sitting atop the bank will be an enormous animatronic dragon, which will actually breathe fire. Expect the dragon to appear in millions of photos by the end of 2014.
