LEGO will bring its Legends of Chima Challenge to Chessington World of Adventures this spring, before taking it to LEGOLAND Windsor later in the year.
Based around the LEGO Chima set of toys, the outdoor activity will be hosted at Chessington for two weeks from April 1, 2013. It is designed to promote the new Speedorz playsets, with guests being challenged to race their Speedorz using a rip cord device. A grand finale will take place on the final day, with costumed characters Laval the lion and Cragger the crocodile in attendance.
LEGO claims that Chessington is the perfect place to launch the roadshow, with the park launching new ride Zufari: Ride into Africa! later this month. The company's UK Senior Brand Manager Sally-Anne Weekes said: "Chessington’s new Zufari: Ride into Africa experience showcases species native to Africa – just as many of the Chima animal tribes. Animals are a universally popular theme and something that we haven’t had in the LEGO portfolio for several years. Legends of Chima fills this gap and where better to showcase it than with the tribes’ real-life counterparts?"
A new 4-D movie based on the LEGO Chima universe, LEGO Legends of Chima, is now showing in the Imagination Theatre at sister park LEGOLAND Windsor.
