After Theme Park Tourist exclusively revealed earlier this week that Thorpe Park's former X:\No Way Out coaster would receive a new "clubbing" theme and see its trains switched to run forwards, the park has moved to confirm the rumours. X will reopen later this spring, featuring all-new light and sound effects. Meanwhile, Kings Dominion's enormous Planet Snoopy expansion is nearing completion, and the Full Throttle roller coaster is taking shape at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park has confirmed that the former X:\No Way Out roller coaster will be renamed as X for the 2013 season, as well as receiving new light and sound effects. Theme Park Tourist exclusively revealed the plans for the ride earlier this week.

Alton Towers

Alton Towers has confirmed details of its operating dates and opening hours for 2013, with the full season set to kick off on Saturday, March 16.

LEGOLAND Florida is set to announce details of its expansion for the 2013 season on March 19, with the new land expected to be themed around LEGO Chima.

Kings Dominion

Kings Dominion is reportedly making good progress on the expansion of its Planet Snoopy area, which it has promised will become "the world's largest Peanuts-themed children's area". The park has installed a total of 8 new rides in the land, bringing its attraction count up to 18.
