Could Six Flags really launch a takeover bid for the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens theme parks? The idea may seem unrealistic (and unpalatable) to many fans of the parks, but Reuters claims that the chain is considering doing just that. Meanwhile, there's another glimpse at the upcoming Fantasy Faire area at Disneyland, and Alton Towers' SW7 roller coaster has been caught on aerial camera.

SeaWorld and Busch Gardens parks

Six Flags and Apollo Global Management are both reported to be considering takeover bids for SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, which runs the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens chains.

Disney has released new concept art for the Royal Hall, a new meet-and-greet attraction that will form part of the Fantasy Faire area at Disneyland.

Alton Towers

Towers Times has posted an impressive set of aerial photos of the under-construction SW7 roller coaster, which clearly show the layout of the £18 million Gerstlauer coaster. However, the site has blacked out some parts of the photos, having agreed with the park not to show the coaster's "world first" element.

Fun Spot America

Fun Spot America in Orlando is planning to go even further than its current ambitious expansion plans, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The park has purchased an additional 8 acres for future use.
