Theme Park Tourist Christmas logo

The editors of Theme Park Tourist would like to wish all of our readers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

If you're heading to a theme park over the Christmas season, have a wonderful time and let us know whether the parks' holiday festivities live up to your expectations. If not, have a fantastic Christmas period and start planning those 2013 theme park trips!

2012 has been an up-and-down year for Theme Park Tourist, during which we've welcomed hundreds of thousands of new visitors to the site. At one point, we were ready to turn the site into a full-time business, but then life got in the way with Nick being diagnosed with cancer and the subsequent battle that we are now engaged in.

Some of the highlights included the opening of The Swarm at Thorpe Park, the long-awaited arrival of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure and the eventual debut of New Fantasyland at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

We are very much looking forward to 2013 and have big plans for the site. Having added the ability for readers to rate and review attractions, restaurants and hotels this year, we're looking forward to hearing your views on the 80+ parks that feature in our Park Guides section.

For those of you wondering what 2013 has in store for theme park fans, check out our New Attraction Watch to keep up to speed on all the latest new rides and shows.

Thanks for your support and see you all in 2013!
