The Curse

Thorpe Park has confirmed that horror maze The Curse will return as part of the line-up of temporary attractions for its Fright Nights 2012 Halloween events.

The park recently revealed that it will add an all-new attraction to the Frights Nights line-up this year, leading TPT to speculate that The Curse would be the most likely maze from the 2011 events to be replaced. However, Thorpe Park has since confirmed via its Twitter and Facebook accounts that The Curse will be returning for another season.

As in previous years, The Curse will be located in the Neptune's Beach area of Thorpe Park, which is now closed to enable installation of the temporary horror maze structure. Construction of the Fright Nights attractions began on September 4, with the park reporting: "Neptune's Beach and Wet Wet Wet will now be closed for the rest of the season, as The Curse takes over this area again."

The Curse exterior

The Curse is themed around a "wrecked ship", and is housed inside a temporary marquee. As with the other horror maze attractions, it is populated by "scare actors" who jump out to frighten guests at key moments.

Theme Park Tourist will be attending the opening weekend of Fright Nights and will feature a full review on the site shortly thereafter. You can see what we thought of the last year's event in our Thorpe Park Fright Nights 2011 review.

Tickets for Fright Nights 2012 can now be purchased online from the official Thorpe Park website, with prices starting at £24.

I actually really liked curse last year. There is no hint of se7en returning, unless it is relocated. I think se7en has gone. Sad; never got to go in it, queue was long and nobody wanted to :(
