The Wet 'n Wild water park in Orlando has named its all-new kids' water play area for the 2012 season as Blastaway Beach.
The tropically-themed zone will feature 15 water slides, along with more than 100 soakers, waterfalls, jets and cannons. These will all be based around a central castle structure that will stand at 60-feet-tall, with the area being aimed primarily at younger guests.
Blastaway Beach replaces the existing Kids Park attraction, and will feature only one exit in order to make it easy for parents to keep an eye on their children. In total, more than 85,000 gallons of water will be used to fill the two pools in the area.
Wet 'n Wild is aiming for a June 2012 opening date for Blastaway Beach, which will cover more than an acre of the International Drive-based park.
