Disney has released another video showing off progress on the construction of Cars Land, the major expansion that will open at Disney California Adventure on June 15, 2012.
The video, embedded below, features footage of large neon signs being installed in the Cars Land area. A recreation of Route 66 as seen in Pixar's Cars movies runs through the heart of the land, and the signs are designed to recreate the look of the famous "Mother Road" at night.
The graphic designers responsible for the creation of the signs discuss the inspiration behind them in the video:
Anchored by $200 million E-Ticket attraction Radiator Springs Racers, Cars Land marks the final phase of a $1.1 billion series of upgrades to Disney California Adventure. The expansion will be home to two other rides, along with a number of dining outlets and retail stores.
