Disneyland Paris has released a video which reveals a flood of new details of Disney Dreams, the new night-time show that will debut at the park in 2012.
Disney Dreams will form a key part of the park's 20th anniversary celebrations, along with the new Disney Magic on Parade! evening parade. The show, which will be similar in style to Fantasmic! at Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios, will feature water screens, pyrotechnic displays and advanced lighting effects.
Walt Disney Imagineer Steve Davison discusses the elements that will be incorporated into Disney Dreams performances, which will take place in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. These include sequences showing famous animated Disney characters on the water screens, fire effects and projections onto the castle itself.
Also covered by the video is Disney Magic on Parade!, which will include a number of all-new floats based around popular Disney movies such as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. The parade will feature Mickey Mouse and friends in a "spectacular finale".
Disney Dreams and the new parade will be the major additions to the Disneyland Resort Paris for the 2012 season. The resort is expected to turn its attention to the Walt Disney Studios park in the proceeding years, having received a €150 million loan from Disney to enable it to build a new dark ride based on Pixar's Ratatouille.
