Lightning McQueen, the hero of Pixar's Cars movies, is now appearing in the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
The addition of the character comes hot on the heels of the release of Cars 2, which follows the adventures of Lightning McQueen and his sidekick Mater around the world. In the show, a distress call from Mater warns the audience that enemy spies are believed to be in the area. McQueen then races out to calm the audience, before being involved in a dramatic chase scene with a mysterious black vehicle.

Lightning McQueen and Mater also feature in a meet-and-greet area at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which was updated following the release of Cars 2. Themed around Team McQueen Headquarters, it enables guests to "meet" life-size versions of the characters.
Cars 2 made a strong debut at the US box office when it was released at the end of June 2011, but its performance has since fallen off. SlashFilm reports that it is now on track to become Pixar's worst box office performer since 1998's A Bug's Life.
