A worker suffered a 25-foot fall from the Tennessee Tornado rollercoaster at Dollywood on Tuesday, while carrying out painting work on the ride's load platform.
The park has confirmed that the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon, and that the worker was rushed to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment. The identity and condition of the worker have not been released, although it is known the person involved was female.
The Tennessee Tornado opened in 1999, and was one of the last major coasters to be designed by Arrow Dynamics. The looping coaster is set to open with the rest of the park for the 2010 season on March 27.
