Though the best part of a trip to Walt Disney World is arguably its world-class attractions, Disney dining has become more of a centerpiece of the resort in recent years, with many hungry guests seeking out new and adventurous culinary creations around Walt Disney World’s parks and resorts.

In order to help prepare the resort for the onslaught of summer guests, this month brings a slew of new dining locations and experiences to the Walt Disney World, which should provide Disney food fans with plenty of new things to munch on!

1. Chef Mickeys to serve brunch

Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort will be introducing a new brunch seating on May 31st which will include both traditional breakfast items (including those fun Mickey-shaped waffles!) as well as more robust items including soup, salads, seafood, chicken, barbecued ribs, and various dessert items. The brunch menu will be added to the buffet beginning at 11:30AM and will last until 2:30PM. Brunch will cost the same as breakfast ($37.99 for adults and $19.99 for ages 3-9), and guests who want to take advantage of this new seating can make reservations starting May 22.

2. Star Wars Rebel Hangar now open for appetizers and drinks

Several weeks ago, we told you about the Rebel Hangar pop-up restaurant which would be appearing as part of Star Wars Weekends. Excitement for this new location was high, with reservations on Star Wars Weekends event days filling up less than 24 hours after they were made available online.

However, if you weren't able to score reservations but still want to check out this unique restaurant concept (which has taken over the right side of the Backlot Express quick service location), you still have options! The Star Wars Rebel Hangar has expanded its operating time and now open daily from 4-9PM, which means hungry guests won't have to wait for the weekend anymore. Worried about not having a reservation? No problem. You can still make your order inside, and then enjoy your Star Wars goodies in the Backlot Express’ outdoor dining area, which has been opened up specifically for walk-up diners.

If you haven’t already, you can check out the Star Wars Rebel Hangar’s amazing menu (which includes hummus in the shape of Darth Maul's face, in an amazing twist) here.
