The Universal Orlando Resort has announced the dates for the Halloween Horror Nights 2013 events, which will take place in September, October and November.
The resort has extended the run of this year's events, which will start earlier and finish later than those of previous years. Hosted at Universal Studios Florida, Halloween Horror Nights 2013 will start on September 20, continuing on select nights through November 2. The later finish is explained by Halloween falling on a Thursday, with the celebrations continuing into the weekend.
Halloween Horror Nights 2013 will be held on September 20-21, 26-29, October 3-6, 10-13, 16-20, 23-27 and October 31 - November 2. Few details have been released to date of the attractions that will be on offer.
During Halloween Horror Nights, areas of Universal Studios Florida are dressed up as "haunted houses" and "scare zones". Fans of the House of Horrors attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood will know what to expect, with real actors mingled in with the guests to create genuinely unpredictable scares.
Universal Orlando is yet to reveal the themes for this year's Halloween Horror Nights attractions. However, there have been strong hints that a haunted house based on zombie-packed TV series The Walking Dead is in the works, after a successful debut last year.
