The Captain EO attraction at Disneyland Paris is once again operating on selected dates, after rumours earlier this year that it had permanently closed proved to be false.
Captain EO has been running on a significantly reduced schedule for the past few months, after a lengthy closure in April and May prompted rumours that it would never reopen. The latest refurbishment schedule posted to the Disneyland Paris website shows that the ride will remain shuttered on many days during October, November and December 2012, but will open on days of peak attendance.
Starring Michael Jackson, Captain EO returned at Disneyland Paris in June 2010 as a tribute to the late pop superstar. It replaced Honey, I Shrunk the Audience - the attraction which displaced Jackson's movie when it first closed in 1998.
The Disneyland Resort Paris closes a number of attractions for extended periods during off-peak seasons. This includes Autopia at Disneyland Paris and and Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic and Armageddon: Les Effets Speciaux at Walt Disney Studios.
