Plans for a new $115 million water park in Sydney have been confirmed, with the attraction set to open to the public in December 2013.
Wet 'n' Wild Sydney will cover a 25-hectare site in the Australian city's western suburbs, and will feature a host of water slides and pools. It will be owned by Village Roadshow, the company which operates the existing Wet 'n' Wild park next to Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast, as well as nearby Sea World Australia.
The video below shows off the planned layout of Wet 'n' Wild Sydney, which will incorporate an enormous wave pool dubbed Boomerang Bay:
Among the other attractions on offer at Wet 'n' Wild Sydney will be two lazy river attractions, two pretzel-style Aqualoop slides and a number of body slides. The park will also host a White Water West Master Blaster, which will see riders blasted uphill by powerful water jets.
The new park will be located in Prospect, and will be similar in style to its sister parks in Hawaii and Phoenix.
