Six Flags Great America has released a video of its highly-anticipated X-Flight roller coaster completing a test run, ahead of the ride's opening day on May 16, 2012.

X-Flight will be the second B&M Wing Rider roller coaster to open in the United States, following the recent debut of Wild Eagle at Dollywood. It will see riders suspended on "wings" on either side of its trains, and will replace the former Iron Wolf coaster in the Country Fair area of Six Flags Great America.

The official X-Flight test video can be seen below:

X-Flight's circuit will feature 5 inversions and a number of twists and drops, with riders hitting a top speed of 55 miles per hour. Included among its inversions will be a barrel roll and a zero-g roll, while a unique element will see the ride's trains pass through a narrow vertical gap in a mock control tower. Fog effects and water jets will also be employed to add to the ride experience.
