Thorpe Park has released two new teaser trailers for The Swarm, the alien-themed roller coaster that will debut at the park on March 15, 2012.
The videos, embedded below, set the scene for The Swarm's plot, which centres around an alien invasion of Earth. The ride's "winged" trains will represent the aliens themselves, as they swoop over a landscape dotted with wreckage including a crashed plane, a helicopter and a burnt-out fire engine.
The first video reveals the noise that The Swarm will make when it "attacks" humans on the ground below:
Meanwhile, the second shows an "abduction" being carried out by The Swarm. This suggests that The Swarm's storyline will see riders being picked up and carried by the aliens:
The Swarm will be the first Bolliger & Mabillard Wing Rider coaster in the UK, with guests being seated on wings on either side of its trains. Its circuit will feature a number of unique elements, including an inversion at the top of its lift hill that leaves riders hanging upside down. This can be seen in a "point-of-view" video that was recently released by Thorpe Park.
