Bling at Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has listed its Bling attraction for sale in industry publications, with the ride likely to be removed from the park in the near future.

Airgates reports that Bling was advertised in the September 2011 edition of Germany amusement industry magazine "Kirmes & Park Revue". It has been rumoured for some time that Blackpool Pleasure Beach was looking to offload the ride, with previous sale agreements believed to have fallen through.

A StarShape flat ride manufactured by Zierer, Bling first opened at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in 2004. It was the second of only three versions of the ride in operation in the world, with the other two both being travelling fairground attractions. A video of Bling in action can be seen below:

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has yet to confirm whether it will replace Bling with a new attraction, or if it will seek to put the ride's location to another use.

It is constantly broken down...not surprised they are getting rid of the death trap as its probably costing them a fortune to run.
