Kings Island has begun a teaser campaign for the new attractions that will open at the park in 2012, although details are currently thin on the ground.
The park has posted an image to its official Facebook page, which features three question marks under the text "New for 2012". This has sparked rumors that as many as three new additions could be on the way, although this is unconfirmed by Kings Island at this stage.
To date, rumors around new attractions at the park for 2012 have centered on an expansion to the Boomerang Bay water park. Screamscape has reported claims that Kings Island could go as far as rebranding the entire water park as Soak City, as well as adding a new wave pool. However, the teaser image suggests that further changes could be on the way, either in the water park or in the main theme park.
In 2011, Kings Island opened two new attractions. The first, WindSeeker, is a spinning tower that is included with the price of admission to the park. The second, walkthrough exhibit Dinosaurs Alive!, carries an additional $5 charge. Theme Park Tourist has posted detailed reviews of both WindSeeker and Dinosaurs Alive!.
