Universal Studios Hollywood has followed Disneyland's lead and increased its ticket prices, with single-day tickets now priced at $77 for adults and $69 for children.
The cost of an adult ticket for the park has increased by $5 since August 2010, while children's tickets are now $7 more expensive. Tickets purchased online continue to offer two days entry for the price of one, while residents of Southern California can buy a 12-month Value Pass (to which black-out dates apply) for $79 online.
Universal Studios Hollywood traditionally closely follows Disneyland's example on ticket prices, although it remains slightly cheaper than its rival. Disneyland recently moved to raise prices on single-day adult tickets by $4 to $80, although it made much steeper increases to annual pass prices.
Tickets for both parks are also sold at a discount by independent resellers. Some are yet to pass on the increase, with Ares Travel currently offering Universal Studios Hollywood tickets for $69 for adults and $59 for children, including the 2-days-for-1 perk.
