Chessington World of Adventures is continuing to run a series of events celebrating the 21st anniversary of its Vampire rollercoaster, with a new Sea Life exhibit also now open at the park.
The Vampire celebrations will run until May 1, 2011, with events including a special walkthrough "horror maze", character meet-and-greets and fancy dress competitions. The headline attraction of the celebrations is The Twilight Zone, a temporary walkthrough attraction alongside Vampire.

The Twilight Zone is an interactive, walkthrough experience in the dark featuring live "scare actors".
Vampire is an Arrow suspended swinging rollercoaster, located in the Transylvania area of Chessington World of Adventures. Originally, the ride featured bat-themed trains suspended from the track, but following numerous maintenance issues these were replaced in 2001 by new Vekoma-built floorless trains. One of the most popular rides at the park, Vampire hits a maximum height of 70 feet and a top speed of 45 miles per hour.
Chessington World of Adventures has not added any new rides for the 2011 season, but it has made a minor addition to its Sea Life attraction. The underwater tunnel area has been rethemed as Azteca, designed to resemble a mystical lost city. Featuring a backstory based around a crashed plane, the tank surrounding the tunnel now features sharks, rays and parrotfish. A video of Azteca is embedded below:
