Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone

Roller coaster

1999

Located in Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone, this family-sized roller coaster provides a great "first" experience for kids who are still a little unnerved by The Mummy or the Hollywood Rockit. And with Woody Woodpecker at the helm, chaos can't be far behind.

Reviews of Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster:

Walter Lantz would be disappointed...

Walter Lantz's nutty bird is taking kids and some adults on a brief spin over Kidzone. Whee?

If you have ridden the Magic Kingdom's Barnstormer or any other one-minute long roller coaster, you have already ridden Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse coaster. It's a kiddie coaster where the theming is lost on most kids and adults who have better memories of Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny than they do of Woody. The queue holds the best parts with eclectic design and color scheme, making Roger Rabbit feel right at home. It's evident that Woody Woodpecker - the friggin' mascot of Universal Studios - is not important here except as a rather poor attempt to cloak the ride with transparent theming. It's cute to walk through and check out, but unless you have tykes that consider E.T. Adventure to scary, it's best to just skip it.
