In terms of quality, the Universal Orlando Resort's fifth hotel sits between the "value" Cabana Bay Beach Resort and the three other "deluxe" hotels, creating a new category. Guests receive many of the perks of the deluxe hotels, but do NOT receive unlimited Express Pass access to the theme parks' rides. Opened in July 2016, the Sapphire Falls Resort is located directly opposite the Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Amenities include a large pool with a sand beach and a water slide, a scenic full-service restaurant and several quick-service food outlets. Kids will be able to explore an expansive play area, and parents can get a workout in an on-site fitness centre. Transportation between the hotel and the Universal theme parks will be provided by water taxi as well as bus shuttles (as well as on foot).
