The high-end Loews Portofino Bay hotel is located within walking distance of both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. It was the first hotel to open at the Universal Orlando Resort, and is designed to resemble an Italian fishing village. Loews Hotels operates the hotel on Universal's behalf.
Guests at the Portofino Bay Hotel receive a number of major perks, including early entry to both theme parks and unlimited Universal Express queue-jumping passes (not valid at Universal's Volcano Bay).
