Dark ride

Opening Date:
Apr 15, 1983

A near-identical clone of the Magic Kingdom's version of this classic Disney dark ride. The Haunted Mansion places guests in an old colonial manorhouse haunted by "999 happy haunts with room for a thousand." This frightfully funny family attraction features state-of-the-art affects, even several decades after its debut.

WDW's Mansion without the Refurb

I prefer the WDW version of Haunted Mansion to both this one and DL's. It's the longest and has the best effects and show scenes for me. Riding Tokyo's was an interesting experience since it had the lame spider room instead of the amazing staircase room in Florida, but it also had a very creepy attic scene with a mysterious bride instead of the new axe murderer subplot. I prefer Florida's staricase room but also prefer Tokyo's attic. Florida's is certainly still the best one, but I think Tokyo's has some interesting things to offer and is superior to the DL version.
