Opened in 2020, Orion is one of only seven giga coasters in the world, those roller coasters having a height or drop of 300-399 feet.  It is King's Islands tallest, longest and fastest steel roller coaster. It was designed by Swiss company Bollinger and Mabillard who also designed the park's Banshee and Diamondback roller coasters.  After climbing the initial chain lift hill, riders drop 300 feet and reaching a speed of over 90 miles per hour go over 7 further hills in the 3 minute ride.  Riders sit 4 abreast in one of three trains, each of which has 8 carriages.  Total ride capacity is claimed to be 1650 riders per hour.
