Shockwave is similar to other Zamperla Disk'O rides around the world, and seats 24 passengers at a time on its circular vehicle. This rotates at 12 revolutions per minute as it travels up and down a 63-metre-long track, exerting forces of 2.5G on its riders.

The ride is located in the Ocean Parade area of Dreamworld, and features a bright green track. During its 90 second ride-time, it hits a top speed of 33.5 miles per hour. Guests are held in place by a dual restraint system.
