Since 1990, our family has always concluded our visits to WDW with lunch at the Brown Derby. It is a tradition we never miss. Several years ago, I asked if they ever gave out recipes of their specialties. Our waiter presented us with derby-shaped recipe cards for the Cobb Salad and Grapefruit Cake!! If you want an elegant taste of old Hollywood (in a tee shirt and shorts, no less!) the Brown a derby is an excellent choice!

I can understand why Nine Dragons is overlooked, both DH and I thought it was overpriced and over rated...never again. However, I can't understand why Mama's I considered overlooked since it is nigh impossible to get in...lol I really wish Tortuga was open more often though... I think The Wave should be on this list. Such a wonderful venue and rarely busy. Just MHO...☺

We will never eat at th e Nine Dragons again. Unless you're from a tiny town that doesn't offer good Chinese food skip it. Our local take out was 10x better. What about the Columbia Restaurant? That place is a staple for us.

Good to see Mama Melrose made this list. On our last Disney World trip we decided to try it out and ended up saying this was our favorite place when it came down to quality of the food. It's now on our list of do-not-miss places to eat.

Your list named some of our all time favorites! The Biergarten, The Brown Derby and Tortuga Tavern. We eat there almost every trip!

Nine Dragons & the Biergarten are our usual stops at Epcot.

Just to let everyone know, Tortuga Tavern and Pecos Bill got all new menus when we were there in March. Neither has the taco salad anymore and the toppings bars have been removed from both restaurants :(

Thank you to the people that paid for one burger and fixed 4 "free" salads!

When visiting Disneyland Paris for the first time, I was surprised to see the restaurant at the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction was called "The Blue Lagoon."

It seems like a pretty inappropriate movie to base a Disney restaurant on. ;-)

It's not based off the movie. It's based off a "blue lagoon". That movie title is kinda generic.

The Biergarten is wonderful. My husband I were there last year. I chose it only to keep his interest in going to "Disney World". We had a very joyful evening and a great meal. We are heading back next October and it is the only Restaurant we will be revisiting. We were not impressed with Mama Melrose's. We found the food a tad bland.

So happy to see Nine Dragons mentioned here. If our now 17 year old is with us we HAVE to dine there, it's been her favorite since she was tiny. Always get the same dishes, the Honey Sesame chicken and the Kung Pao Chicken. I am absolutely in love with the Kung Pao, so flavorful, especially compared to the different varieties we see here in GA!

That's a great list that is "off the beaten path," so to speak. Biergarten is one place we NEVER miss when we go to WDW.
