I can not believe that Disney did away with push! I took my kids to Disney World a few years ago and I got to see him and he was awesome! Why would they do away with something so simple?
I say they should make a Wall E 2 have push make a cameo and then return to the Magic Kingdom!

In 1975 or 1976 there was a music act in act food court in tomorrow land across from autopia it was synthetic keyboard music much like the sound track of the first electric main street electrical pradesh what was the name of this performance ? , peformer?

If you are talking about Disney World then the performer would be Michael Iceburg and the Iceburg Machine... loved him. Used to watch 2 or 3 shows a day...

I am so sick of everyone hating on the castle cake! As an 8 year old girl in 96, it was freaking awesome!! Yes it was not the best photo-op for young men to pop the question, but it was memorable for sure! If you want to complain about defacing the castle, let's talk about when Stitch TPed it.

I love how most of these were Disneyland v1.0. Disney was inventing the theme park and struggling especially with tomorrowland. How to keep the future current. That's why I love the timeless, retro future we have today.

Hi Ashleigh,
I definitely agree, I LOVED the cake castle. Although I grew up in Southern Cal, and spent many years visiting Disneyland, the first time I went to Disneyworld (in 1996)I saw the Castle fully decorated in all it's frosted glory.

Stitch TPed the castle?? Pics or it didn't happen!!! Why didn't I know this??? I was a HUGE Stitch fan!!

While visiting the Magic Kingdom in 96 a friend once asked a cast member what he thought of the castle. His response, in classic diplomatic Disney style, "The Pepto Palace? I love it."
We could not stop laughing.

We were also on the last official ride of AE. It was a gear attraction! Fun to be on it with all the cast members

How is Alien Encounter a strange attraction? The Bathroom of Tomorrow, yes, I can see that. Same goes with the Birthday Cake Castle, which was ugly as sin and a terrible idea.
AE was one of the best attractions WED ever created. If it were put in DHS, perhaps near the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, it would have lasted a lot longer.
And on a personal note, I was the last person to leave the theater for the last AE show back in 2003. My place in Disney history is concrete.

Alien Encounter truly was unexpected and frightening and one of the very best attractions ever it should never have been changed as I am sure it would have endured the test of time.

Hey. There are some children who never would have gone inside for fear of aliens. I love Stitch and was terrified of aliens as a child.

Hey I loved the ideas of the circus, Push, and the candy castle. But I can agree that the public doesn't go to Disney for circuses, as much as I would have rathered a circus revival for the new Dumbo area. And Push, I think, was a pretty witty thing. Never got to meet him like I wanted to, but who expects a talking trash can?!?! I think it was kinda cool. And as for the 25th Anniversary castle, I just love sweets and Disney and with Wreck-It Ralph, I believe Disney now has a reason to do it at least just one more time in the future for a WiR anniversary maybe.

I was surprised when they threw the Push thing as not being there anymore. This is actually not accurate. We were there a few months ago and Push was going around talking to people as always. Hilarious too! And yes it was controlled wirelessly by a guy dressed as usual tourist and controlling it from a mechanism in his sidebag. Push lives on!

He was retired last year, although I can't remember the exact date. You were probably one of the last to see him.
