This ride seemed to promise so much. I was very much aware of the similarities between Kilimanjaro Safaris and the ill-fated Rhino-Rally but I was optimistic Merlin would have done a good job. WRONG! From the rather cumbersome queue line, and the god awful CGI graphics and voiceover in the hut to the, well… "cave" bit chucked in at the end (which didn't work, I assume there is supposed to be a water element) it was a complete and utter disappointment. I was with a party off four and we all got off Zufari with much the same feelings of wow! Did we really just wait for that?!

I should admit I am a regular to US theme parks, but have a realistic view of what UK theme parks can achieve and unfortunately Merlin really missed the mark with this one and I shan't be queuing for it again.

It's worth going on to make your own judgements but if the que-line is bigger than 10 minutes don't bother.
