Obviously this is a matter of opinion, but I disagree with most of this list. For Mission: Space, I really enjoy that ride and think it's actually one of the better and more thrilling rides at Epcot, however I feel like it could use an update. For Astro Orbiter, personally-I've only even rode it at night and it was amazing. I've heard that this could be a ride only good at night and could see that being the case, but being so high up in the air-the ride offers great views of the park at night. Stitch-I understand why people don't like it but I don't see what's so bad about it. Sure, its not the greatest attraction but its a fun attraction that's a unique ride experience and never a long line. Just my two cents.

I agree with almost everything, but Mission:Space.

I love that ride, and think it's an incredible experience.

Disagree...Duffy is the Jar Jar Binks of Epcot.

Someone said the Tomorrowland Speedway needs to go, I completely agree. It's noisy, smells, not much fun and takes up a ton of space better used for something else or even a couple new attractions.

Is there really a BAD ride at WDW?!?
With that said, every time I go to Epcot, Figment is my first ans last stop! I am concerned the next time I go, it won't be there. I agree some updating may be in order, but the idea behind this character is something which some days seems lost, imagination!

Was there really a need to refer to Eric Idle as "the most annoying Monty Python member"? I thought we were critiquing rides not people?!? Be kind.

You do realize that Primeval Whirl is just a store bought Gerstlauer Spinning Mouse model right? The only things that Imaginewring came up with for the ride were the visuals. The only difference between PW and the Goofy iteration, in terms of the actual physical ride, is the age of the coasters. That all being said, Gerstlauers generally do not stand up well after only a few years (see Eurofighter 2).

Not a ride but Captain E O is the worst.

The majority of these comments seem to be from adults. Ask any 7 year old ( my Grand daughter for one ) about these rides and she will tell you they are all her favorites ( Except Dino Whirl, she has not been tall enough to ride yet, but is super anxious to do so) These rides are for kids, Disney knows this and tries to always remember that most kids do not come to the parks with jaded attitudes.

I noticed how you pointed out Stitch's former venue inhabiter. But before you go bashing out Figment you shouldn't wipe away the true history as to why he was popular. Before the Imagineers ruined it, it was truly the most visually stimulating ride that ever existed in a Disney park when you were traversing the imagination universe with Figment and the Dream Finder through art, adventure, horror, fantasy, and a trippy atmosphere. I used to work at Disney and I have full confirmation that when the Imagineers pitched the current version of the ride at a meeting that the original father of the original attraction stood up and said "why have you destroyed my ride?" And stormed out of the meeting. It is now a horrifically hard pill to swallow especially remembering first hand how incredible that attraction used to be. Today they only utilize 1/4 of the building. It was a forced change to the attraction due to a later known fact that the original exit from the pyramids via. A staircase and one elevator would be wventually viewed as a fire safety hazzard. They should've shut it down entirely rather than slapped it in the face.

Mission space did not impress me at all, the rides over near the Dinosaur rides we h ave never gone on, I don't go to Disney to ride carnival rides or play carnival games

Let's see...
First off, Mission:Space has always been a favorite of mine. I also love Gary Sinise, and even after 4 times the Orange version still gets me. Astro Orbiter can be meh, but still kind of fun. Dinosaur... Well, the ride's original theming had nothing to do with the failed movie. It was originally "Countdown to Extinction" and the Iguanodon was simply contrived as the main player. As for Journey into Imagination with Figment... Your history is completely off. The original ride was hosted by the Dreamfinder with Figment as his sidekick. It was one of the most beautiful Disney attractions there's ever been. It was replaced after Figment was deemed "uninteresting" with "Journey into YOUR Imagination" which failed due to the backlash at the removal of Figment. So then this iteration was born as an answer to those fans that called for the return of that little purple dragon. I don't think it lives up to what it was, though.

I have nothing to say that's positive about Stitch's not so Great Escape, however... Save that the chili dog smell makes me sick.

Primeval Whirl is exactly what it is supposed to be.The idea of that particular area of the park is supposed to be a road side attraction built quickly to capitalize on a situation. Although I agree that Disney could have made a much more "Disney" area out of this or at least put in the real mystical creatures land promised so long ago. the point is the roller coaster is, as sick inducing as it is, because it is supposed to be a cheap fly by night coaster.

Disagree on Stitch. Not the best Disney ride/show , but far from the worst.

I disagree with Primeval Whirl as well. I think it's fun, because it's different than a regular coaster considering its small size. And actually, the cramped space of Astro Orbiters is kind of what makes it hilarious to me. Everyone feels like they're going to fall out, espcially if there are two of you crammed in there. Stitch I avoid like the plague. I left feeling like someone beat me up and there was no fun to be had at all.

Stitch is so overrated.

Maybe because I'm just getting older but Space Mountain makes me wish I would have brought my Chiropractor along for treatment after my daughter drags me on that ride. A pitch a black, jerking roller coaster hurts the joints! :)

By far the worst ride at Walt Disney World is at Epcot and is the Ellen DeGeneres world of energy ride! Uuggh! It's old, long and incredibly boring!!!!

Mission Space should NEVER have been modified for the wimps in the world. The worst in my opinion is that Stitch nonsense that was once alien encounter.

I can only really agree with TWO of attractions listed: Stitch's Great Escape and Journey Into Imagination w/Figment. Those two are just abysmal, and I'm pretty sure that every single time we walk into Journey Into Imagination, there's nobody in line for the main ride......ever. Stitch's Great Escape has the same problem going for it that Alien Encounter had prior: it's just not entertaining at all. It seems no matter what they put in that location, it doesn't work.

But Mission: Space is great, a lot of fun...particularly on the "more extreme" side. Who cares if the experience is the same each time? That feeling of the Gs pressing down on you is wild. As for Astro Orbiter, it offers some great views of Tomorrowland and outside the park, but overall isn't anything special.

The real worst attractions in WDW I'd list as: Jungle Cruise, Tomorrowland Speedway, Ellen's Energy Adventure, Journey Into Imagination w/Figment, Captain EO, and the entire Dino-Rama area of Animal Kingdom.

I have to say, out of all these, Mission Space is the best and maybe a little refresh but it's still an awesome ride. In regards to Astro Orbiter, I think they need to do away with Aladdin's Magic Carpets. Why do we need 4 of the same kind of ride in the same park? And it's not the rides fault people are larger. If you check out the same ride at Disneyland Paris, you'll see a shortage of scooters and fat people. Amazing concept there.
However, I do agree with you about Stitch. That has got to go. Alien Encounter was so much better. And Primevil Whirl needs to go. In fact that whole area needs to just re removed and redone. Imagine, another Dumbo style ride.
And lastly Figment. We went from him being nowhere in the ride to him being everywhere and force fed down our throats. Time for a change there as well.

I concur! Mission Space, *barf*, Primeval Whirl provided a chiropractic adjustment, Stitch is just a yawn. I would say the Orbiters are fun at night :)

With the exception of Astro Orbiter - nostalgia - I completely agree with this list. I'd add Ellen's Energy Adventure in my top 5.

Agree completely.

Agree completely.

I hate Mission Space. One ride I always avoid. I disagree on Primeval Whirl, as banged up as I get on that ride, it always makes me laugh for some reason, even though it is very 'unDisney' like and pretty much a cheap carnival ride.

I've actually only ridden the Astro ride. None of the others appealed to me. I think the thinking behind "Primeval Whirl," like the carney games in the "parking lot" next to it are actually more "window dressing" than actual attractions. The concept is that we have the egg heads digging up dinosaur bones, then the creepy guys come in and build the big black building that nobody knows what's going on in side, but it has SOMETHING to do with dinosaurs. So the rest of the town goes "dino-happy" and build a little amusement park with a "dino themed" ride next to the big black building.

It amuses me that people feel qualified to pick the best or worst of anything. All opinions are subjective and I don't agree with yours. While I don't enjoy all the rides mentioned myself, I know people who consider some of them their favorites. My favorite is either Carousel of Progress or the Wedway People Mover and those would not be considered most peoples "must do" rides. That being said, if the title of the article was 'My Least Favorite Disney Rides' I could get behind it. But since you don't speak for me, I respectfully disagree with your assessment.

You forgot Universe of Energy...I find it to be very dull and very long!
